Energy Market Operators
Energy Market Operators ("EMOs") monetize the protocol's virtual power plants in power markets. These entities are licensed to participate in power markets, and can take different forms depending on market structure. For example, these entities may be:
Qualified Scheduling Entities
Power traders
Electric utilities
Retail electricity providers
The DayFi DUNA will contract directly with EMOs for monetization of protocol resources in different markets. For reach region, the DUNA will open an RFP for a set term, and contract with the EMO with the most attractive terms for the network.
Terms will vary by auction and region. For example, some terms may be set as a revenue share, and others as a fixed fee.
